This website is intended to act as a repository for a broad body of work which informed the development of culture and creative industries policy over the years 2000-2012 – in particular, a wide range of policy and research documents published by the Greater London Authority and the London Development Agency.
This was a particularly dynamic period in creative industries growth in London, and – under Mayoral leadership – an important period in public policy (some of which is captured in Tom Campbell’s recent blog post). It included the short-lived agency Creative London.
A film commissioned by Creative London can be seen here.
This site does not pretend to provide an exhaustive list of resources. Rather, it brings together a selective group of reports and publications which have helped to underpin cultural and creative policy-making in London in recent years, and which will be of particular interest to city policy-makers in the future.
